Yello! I'm Ian, co-founder and CTO at Giftster. Giftster is an online two-way wishlist service tailored for families and friend groups. Founded in 2008, we have over 3 million members and counting. We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Python/Django Developer to join our web dev team.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of both building and running Giftster’s core systems. This includes our backend services, web platform, and mobile API—all of which power millions of wishlist interactions.

We’re looking for someone who can contribute across the full stack and is equally comfortable shipping new features and ensuring the system operates smoothly in production. Strong experience with Python is essential and Django experience is preferred.

You’ll collaborate with product and design to refine requirements, implement new functionality, improve existing features, and resolve issues. Just as importantly, you’ll help ensure that what we ship remains stable, performant, and reliable for our users.

+ QA: We're looking for a QA engineer deeply familiar with the software lifecycle in the age of agentic coding. You'd have a lot of responsibility, but also the opportunity to define what solid QA looks like at Ontix.

+ Azure Cloud Engineer: We're a mostly-AWS shop, but we have a few potential customers that are deeply entrenched in the Azure ecosystem, including a migration from SharePoint to Fabric + OneLake. You'd be leading the charge on that.

+ Infosec + Automated Vulnerability Scanning: If you browse new CVEs over breakfast, we want to talk to you. There's a huge demand among our current customers for continuous vulnerability scanning, both in the codebase and on the deployed edge. We have some test platforms, but would love a more robust solution we can market.

+ Full-Stack WordPress Developer: Our sister company is a bit old school still: If you can parachute in to a PHP + Vue 2/3 + WordPress + AWS EC2 environment, we would love to pass on your number to them.
