Stealth Solar Tech Startup | Remote (EU-friendly) | Full-time or Contract

We are a well-funded stealth startup building a B2C platform to radically reform the U.S. residential solar industry. Our mission is to combat pervasive consumer distrust and inefficiencies by empowering homeowners with a transparent, high-fidelity, and interactive 3D solar design tool. We are a small, dedicated team working closely with an established industry partner for rapid, real-world testing and iteration.

We are looking for a Senior 2D/3D Computer Vision Engineer to build the core technology that makes our platform possible. The central challenge is to automatically generate clean, geometrically accurate, and simplified 3D roof models from raw aerial Digital Surface Models (DSM) and RGB data. Your work will be the foundation of our user experience, replacing the opaque and slow manual processes that dominate the solar industry today.

As the owner of this domain, you will ideally:

• Define the Process: Take charge of the entire ML pipeline, from R&D to production. This includes refining the annotation process and enhancing our existing Three.js-based 3D annotation tool to build a high-quality, large-scale dataset.

• Build the Models: Research, develop, and train a suite of models to handle roofprint segmentation, structured prediction of planar roof wireframes from point clouds, and detection/classification of roof obstructions (chimneys, pipes, windows, etc.).

• Ship to Production: Engineer a scalable and robust inference pipeline that can process new properties on demand.

Our stack is Python, PyTorch, FastAPI, Rasterio/GDAL, and JavaScript/Three.js for the annotation tool. We are looking for a pragmatic and experienced engineer who loves tackling complex 3D vision problems. You should be comfortable with both 2D and 3D data (especially point clouds and geospatial imagery) and have a proven track record of delivering end-to-end ML solutions.

To apply, please email vlad@design.solar.

zoetro.pe | Technical Staff | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE/REMOTE | Full-time

We're an applied lab building deterministic and deep generative experiences. Our team has built AI models, games, and infrastucture at Tesla Autopilot, Epic Games, Scale.ai, Repl.it, Bun, and Lucasarts.

You will be building procedural simulation models and the supporting infrastructure and applications. We're a small team, so this means everything from CUDA kernels and Pytorch notebooks to web-apps. Our stack is multi-lingual and spans from very low to very high level code. We use both our own models and external providers.

Our team is hybrid-remote, being primarily based in San Francisco.

Our stack: Python (Pytorch/jax), Typescript(React etc), Rust/C++, Ghidra

We're looking for exceptional research engineers who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Experience with computational geometry or compilers/language design/formal methods is a plus.

Formal qualifications are less important than passion and skill. We're building our dreams, we hope you will feel the same.

krea.ai | Distributed Systems Eng. & Data Engineers | San Francisco (on-site), CA

I'm the cofounder & CTO of Krea (https://www.krea.ai).

We are a startup in San Francisco building browser-based AI creative tools to improve the workflows of artists, designers, and professional creatives.

Small team (~20); millions of active users; and raised over $83M from top Silicon Valley investment firms.

We're looking for talented engineers who want to tackle hard technical challenges with smart people while building a creative platform that big companies and startups will rely on.

The job:

- Build distributed systems to process massive (billions of files, petabytes), amounts of image, video, and 3D data, solving scaling bottlenecks as you go.

- Build data pipelines and deploy ML models to make sense of raw data (e.g. find clean scenes within videos).

- Learn ML engineering from world-class researchers on a small tight-knit team. As you’re building data pipelines, you’ll contribute to foundation image, video, and world models from 0 → production, and see them used by millions of Krea users.

- Play with massive amounts of compute on huge Kubernetes GPU clusters; our main GPU cluster takes up an entire datacenter from our provider.

Tech stack: python, pytorch, k8s, a rotating cast of data tools (e.g. DuckDB, massive relational DBs, PyArrow, etc.)

You should apply if you are an excellent generalist engineer with strong backend experience and an intuition for systems design. Bonus points for deep experience with distributed systems, kubernetes, and existing ML or data experience (but not required!). Cool side projects are a green flag.
