Collective Intelligence Project | Lead Product Engineer | Remote (US time zones, PST preferred) | $150k | https://www.cip.org/careers/productengineer

The Collective Intelligence Project (http://www.cip.org) builds platforms that allow large groups of people to participate in decisions about AI systems. In short, we’re building the democratic infrastructure for AI.

We partner with AI labs and governments to evaluate frontier models on questions automated benchmarks can’t capture — e.g. whether models respond safely to mental health crises, provide reliable legal advice across languages, or exhibit political bias.

We’re looking for a Lead Product Engineer to build infrastructure behind this work.

You’ll work on: - evaluation platforms used by AI labs and policymakers - systems for collecting and aggregating large-scale human judgment data - interfaces that help policymakers interpret evaluation results - infrastructure for large-scale public deliberation about AI

Stack currently includes: TypeScript, React/Next.js, Postgres, Supabase, Vercel. You’ll have significant ownership over architecture and product direction. We’re hoping candidates are already familiar with Claude Code / Codex / Cursor, and are excited about using AI as a force amplifier across projects.

If you're interested in building infrastructure for democratic AI governance, we'd love to talk.

Decise | Principal Engineer & Technical Strategist | Remote (US) | Fully Remote | Contract (1099)

Decise is a hands-on advisory and delivery firm that helps organizations unlock the full value of their technology and improve business profitability.

We work directly with executives to define what should be built, then we build it. Our work spans software engineering, data platforms, analytics, and customer-facing digital products. We often operate as fractional CIOs and CTOs, guiding both the strategic direction and the technical execution of our clients’ technology initiatives.

Our clients rely on us to turn complex business problems into working systems — not slide decks.

We are intentionally small and senior. Everyone on the team is a builder who can operate independently, solve complex problems, and deliver finished systems that people actually use.

White-glove service. Blue-collar grit.

We’re looking for a principal-level technologist who can move between engineering, architecture, and client strategy. Most of your time will be spent building systems and writing production code. The rest will involve working directly with executives to shape technical direction and ensure the work creates real business value.

Typical technologies we work with include React, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, Go, Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Domo, Streamlit, AWS, Vercel, and modern AI-assisted engineering tools. The exact stack varies by client; the ability to learn quickly and move confidently across technologies matters more than any specific tool.

Strong candidates typically have 10–15 years of experience building production systems and are comfortable operating both as hands-on engineers and as technical advisors to executives.

This is a long-term, full-time independent contractor engagement (1099). Everyone at Decise — including the founders — operates in this structure. Compensation is designed to be competitive with senior engineering roles at leading technology companies.

The fastest way to stand out is to show us something you’ve built: a production system, GitHub repository, application, or data platform you designed.

Carrot is an all-in-one platform for cannabis dispensaries (ecommerce, loyalty, marketing, apps, and delivery) with a small, high-impact, remote team. We use Scala + Scala.js with functional programming principles, but we value strong programming fundamentals over specific tech stack experience.

- Full remote work with flexible hours (just need availability during US Pacific mornings) - Direct impact on product direction in a growing industry - High autonomy with support through peer reviews and mentorship - Work directly with our CTO in a flat organization

We’re looking for senior engineers excited about working in a functional paradigm. Our interview process is refreshingly streamlined (1-2 interviews).

* Senior Software Engineer, Web Capture - $145~170k + 10% bonus - JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Go (golang) - https://www.fullstory.com/careers/jobs/76e583a9-74c0-42d4-ae...

I take about 4-5 weeks vacation a year, in addition to ~3 weeks worth of company holidays (federal holidays + the week of Christmas to New Years.)

Folks in other countries can also expect a strong benefits package, but I'm not as versed on the details.

Additionally, you get a 5-week sabbatical after 5 years of employment - I took mine about a year ago, and it was fantastic.

To apply, please submit your info on the website, and our recruiting team will get in touch with you. If you have questions, feel free to reply here or contact me directly. (I'm an engineer on the iOS team, but I'll do my best to answer questions.)

Mobasi | Founding Engineer | Austin, TX / Remote | $240k + Profit Sharing | https://mobasi.ai

Mobasi builds autonomous AI agents for digital forensics. Our software orchestrates 150+ forensic tools to help law enforcement turn days of manual evidence analysis into minutes, aiding in cases involving child exploitation, trafficking, and homicide. You will transition our build pipeline from manual updates to an automated delivery system scaling to thousands of agencies. You will manage infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and AI providers, while owning CJIS and SOC2 compliance.

Di Rezze Family Office | AI-Native Technical Operations Lead | Miami, FL (ONSITE) | $130K-$200K + Early Equity | Full-Time

We're building an AI-native clinical data platform from the ground up, not a legacy system with AI bolted on. AI is core to the architecture, the development workflow, and the product itself. Fully funded by a private family office, no outside capital needed, no fundraising runway concerns. We're assembling the founding team now.

We're building a founding team to revolutionize healthcare in the United States, and we're hiring a technical operations lead. Best analogy: studio engineer to a recording artist. You own the environment so engineering leadership stays on high-leverage product work. That means CI/CD, QA, testing infrastructure, compliance documentation, and 30-40% independent feature development. Ground-floor equity in a company that's pre-revenue by choice, not by circumstance.

Hard requirement: you are already shipping software with AI coding tools daily (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar). Not curious about AI. Not experimenting. Actively building and deploying with it. If you can't show us something you built with AI tools in the last 60 days, this isn't the right fit. Stack: React/Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS. But we care more about polyglot instincts than any single framework.

What we're looking for:

3-7 years full-stack experience Strong QA discipline (you write tests because you want to, not because someone made you) DevOps comfort: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure Self-directed. We don't micromanage and don't plan to start. Must be US-based or already have US work authorization. We do not sponsor visas.

What you get:

Meaningful early-stage equity (not a token option grant)

Direct access to founders and decision-makers, no layers

A say in the technical architecture from day one

Relocation to Miami fully covered

Health, dental, vision

Interview process: 15-min screen (show us your AI-built work) > take-home exercise > 2-hour paid working session > culture fit conversation.

Email: jpd@direzzefamilyoffice.com, subject line "HN March 2026" so I can find you.

BREAKFAST | Senior Software Engineer | Brooklyn, NY | ONSITE | Full-time | $170 - $220k + profit share

We build kinetic sculptures that shouldn’t exist. A small team of designers and engineers, creating massive, data-driven installations that live in the world’s most iconic spaces.

This is for someone who’s looking for a totally different job. You want to work on seriously hard problems along a talented multidisciplinary team. Ready to jump both feet into new problem domains, figure out what needs to be done - and do it.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes of a large piece we did: https://youtu.be/Y-X82D1dBLc?si=Dj-5casrqoXP9wVy&t=228

The Tech & The Role:

You’ll be a senior voice on a tight team, touching every layer of the stack

- Systems/Backend: Managing Linux-based distributed systems that coordinate massive arrays of sensors and actuators. - Embedded/Firmware: Writing C/C++ for custom PCBs and motor controllers. - Languages: Primarily Python, JS, C, and C++. - Hard Problems: Real-time constraints, custom networking protocols, and high-reliability systems that have to run 24/7 in public spaces.

We're looking for:

- 10+ years of experience. We need a "tinkerer" who understands math/physics and isn't afraid to poke at hardware. - Someone who thrives on "mission-critical" pressure. When a sculpture goes up in a public plaza, it has to work. - Mentorship-minded. You’ll help shape the software culture as we grow.

We aren't a typical art studio, our tech is state-of-the-art. You’ll work alongside ME's and EE's in our Brooklyn studio to build things experienced by millions. The role is primarily onsite in Brooklyn, but some flexibility can be discussed.

Studio: https://breakfaststudio.com/

Apply: jobs+swe2026@breakfaststudio.com Include letter about you, a cv or resume and perhaps some project you'd like to share. Thanks!
