Klassif.ai | ML/AI Engineer | Hybrid (Leuven, Belgium; remote 3 days/week)

We started off naively as just another intelligent document processing SaaS. Years of experience have shown us where the real pain points and value lies. Join my AI team and be horrified by how many critical business processes rely on email. Then help me execute on our ambitious roadmap!

If you find yourself nodding along with the following statements, you may be a good fit:

- You enjoy getting your work into the hands of users

- You’re okay debugging a stray tensor in the morning and designing services in the afternoon

- You care about the field of AI and interact with its community

- You can ‘sense’ when a loss curve is doomed

- You’ve fine-tuned LLMs, even just for fun

- You’ve been thinking a lot about agents lately, for some reason

- You don’t mind the odd bit of customer support (it’s where we get our best insights!)

All credentials welcome, including recent graduates. We’ll shape the role around you. What matters is creativity and visible engagement with the field.

Who may apply: EU citizens or holders of a Belgian work permit. (Everything else is more admin than we have time for.)

Senzing (entity resolution SDK) | Platform Engineer | Remote (USA) | Full-time

Senzing builds enterprise entity-resolution SDK technology — an embeddable library that runs entirely inside customer infrastructure with zero data exfiltration. We're hiring a platform engineer to own the AWS infrastructure behind Placekey (our location-data subsidiary), a production API service running at scale.

Day one, this is a cloud/platform role: you'd own the operational health of Placekey's stack, close out post-migration hardening, and have real input on where the infrastructure goes next. Over time the role grows to include internal IT and systems work (Active Directory, endpoint/laptop provisioning, Tailscale, security) — so we're looking for someone who's happy owning things end to end, not only the glamorous layer.

Stack: EKS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, Cloudflare, API gateway (Kong/AWS), Terraform, Grafana/CloudWatch/Datadog. Apps are Scala and Rust.

Looking for: 5+ years platform/cloud infra, production Kubernetes (EKS ideal), managed Postgres (backup/recovery/tuning), IaC, solid networking, strong Python/Bash. You don't need to be an expert on the IT/systems side today — but you should want to grow into it.

Remote anywhere in the USA. Competitive salary, full health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, flexible PTO.

To apply: email enghiring@senzing.com with your resume and a short note — tell us about a challenging production system you've owned end to end, including an incident where your monitoring missed something and what you changed afterward.

Cascade Space | Senior Mechanical Engineer | San Francisco, CA (ONSITE) | Full-time | $150k - $190k + equity

Cascade Space is building ground-based infrastructure to support missions to the moon and beyond. Instead of single large dishes, we're building arrays of dishes combined with a digital beamformer into one large aperture — comparable to a NASA Deep Space Network 34m dish. We raised our seed round last year and this is our first mechanical engineering hire.

You'll own mechanical integration of vendor dish systems with our in-house RF hardware (feeds, LNAs, amplifiers): packaging for ultra-low-noise electronics that has to survive outdoor conditions, alignment/tolerance strategy, and structural/environmental testing. When it's time to stand up our first array, you'll be on-site for deployment and commissioning. Full arc from CAD to field install.

Looking for 4+ years designing and deploying complex hardware systems, experience integrating electronics into outdoor/exposed environments, thermal management of sensitive electronics, precision mechanical assemblies, and owning vendor/fab-shop relationships. RF/antenna experience is a bonus, not required.

Note: US Persons only (ITAR/EAR — some customer datasets are restricted).

Republic Services | Staff Engineer – Agentic AI | REMOTE (US) | Full-time | $175k is our salary midpoint + 20% target bonus

Republic Services is the second largest environmental services companies in North America — ~40K employees, thousands of trucks, hundreds of facilities, and a mountain of operational data that has never had an AI layer on top of it. We have a backlog of hundreds of Agentic AI ideas that we need to deliver and a foundation of ontologies, evaluations, guardrails, etc... that we need to build.

We're hiring a Staff Engineer now to be the first hire and plan to expand the team aggressively. You will own that platform end to end, not manage the people.

What you'll work on

- Agent orchestration: tool calling, planner/executor and multi-agent patterns, MCP/A2A integrations with enterprise systems

- Making enterprise context reliably available at inference time — retrieval, memory, hybrid search, reranking, access controls

- LLMOps that isn't hand-wavy: evals and golden datasets, prompt/agent versioning, tracing, token and cost budgets, CI/CD for agents

- Safety in a regulated enterprise: prompt injection, data exfiltration, PII handling, human-in-the-loop, audit logging

You should have

- 7–10+ years building and scaling production systems, with recent, hands-on GenAI/agentic work in production (not just demos)

- Shipped agents or LLM pipelines at scale

- Solid data chops — vector stores, chunking, hybrid search, knowing when retrieval is the wrong answer

- Cloud experience (we're primarily AWS / Bedrock); comfortable with both containers and serverless

- Track record of technical leadership and mentoring without needing a manager title

Nice to have: LangGraph / Semantic Kernel / PydanticAI, GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, LangFuse/LangSmith, multimodal.

Comp & benefits: $175k is our midpoint for salary + 20% annual target bonus, 401(k) with company match, ESPP, medical/dental/vision, PTO. Remote eligible, prefer AZ timezones +/-1. Not sponsorship eligible.

Why you should want to work here: We build cool stuff

Checkly | https://www.checklyhq.com | Product Manager, Sales Engineer, Senior Sales Engineer | REMOTE (Europe / US Eastern) | Full-time

The best developers don't wait for a customer to tell them something's broken. They catch it first, in the pull request, in staging, or in the checkout flow at 3am, before a single user notices. That instinct is Checkly's whole reason to exist. We give developers and their agents the tools to own reliability the way they own their code: monitoring defined as code, powered by OpenTelemetry and Playwright, versioned and reviewed like everything else they ship. From pull request to post-mortem, in one place.

Prior Labs | Berlin, Freiburg, NYC | ONSITE | Full-time | ML Infra, Research Scientist/Engineer, Backend, Full Stack

We build foundation models for tabular data. Deep learning transformed text and images but mostly skipped tables, which are still the data behind most clinical trials, financial models and scientific experiments. The reason is structural: no natural sequence, no spatial structure, no shared vocabulary across datasets, so the architectures and scaling laws behind LLMs don't transfer.

Our approach: pre-train a transformer on millions of synthetic datasets sampled from causal-structure priors. The whole dataset goes in as context, predictions come out in one forward pass. No per-dataset training, no hyperparameter tuning, seconds instead of hours. TabPFN v2 was published in Nature and set a new state of the art; TabPFN-3 scales to 10M rows. 4M+ downloads, 8k+ GitHub stars, in production from liquid biopsy to rail maintenance. Code: https://github.com/PriorLabs/TabPFN

Since July we're an independent lab inside SAP, with more than EUR 1B committed over four years. Models stay open, research stays public, same team and offices.

Roles (most can sit in any of the three offices):

- Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer: own multi-cluster GPU infra (Slurm on GCP today, multi-provider next), training performance and the tooling layer. We spend tens of millions per year on compute; you own that budget.

- Research Scientist, Foundation Model: drive the model agenda - novel architectures, scaling from 10K to 1M+ samples, multimodal and causal directions. PhD plus top-venue publications, or equivalent.

- Research Engineer, Foundation Model: same agenda from the engineering side. You design experiments, write the training and eval infra, and co-author the papers.

- ML Engineer, Cloud Platform: design and scale the backend that serves and finetunes the models. Python/FastAPI, Terraform, K8s.

- Full Stack Engineer, ML Platform: build the product end to end. TypeScript + Python, React/FastAPI/Postgres.

Also hiring: Applied Scientist, Forward Deployed ML Engineer, Research Scientist (Foundational Data Science), PhD research interns, plus GTM and ops roles.

~40 people with backgrounds from Google, DeepMind, Jane Street, Goldman, G-Research, CERN. Led by Frank Hutter, advised by Bernhard Schölkopf and Yann LeCun. Comp competitive with top AI labs.

Strobe Power | Site Reliability Engineer | ONSITE (SF) | https://strobepower.com

AI data centers are creating a massive new wave of electricity demand and putting even more strain on an aging grid. Strobe is building the power company that will meet that demand.

Our software turns batteries and generators at commercial and industrial buildings into distributed power plants that can buy, sell, and dispatch electricity in real time. We build the control stack for operating these assets and the trading platform that connects them to wholesale energy markets.

We’re a small, high-ownership team working on critical infrastructure. You’ll learn how the energy system actually works: what happens inside the electrical room of a large commercial building, how data centers are powered, how utilities and grid operators communicate, and how a battery gets commissioned and brought online.

This is early, technical, and very real-world. The software you build will control physical equipment, keep power plants online, and move money in regulated markets. We’re the only company actively trading distributed power in FERC-regulated wholesale markets, with multiple behind-the-meter power plants operating in NYC and expansion underway in California and along the East Coast.

I’m looking for an experienced SRE to own our infrastructure and reliability. We remotely operate millions of dollars of equipment, and it has to work. You’ll own our AWS environment, the control-room infrastructure that communicates directly with utilities and market operators, and the systems we use to deploy, observe, and operate a growing fleet. You’ll also work closely with the rest of the engineering team to establish good patterns as we ship new services and features.

You’re probably a good fit if you have deep AWS experience, have used Terraform seriously in production, write a lot of Python, and are comfortable working around Rust services. Energy experience is useful but not required (SCADA, DNP3, MQTT).

Stack: Python, TypeScript, Rust, Terraform, AWS, GraphQL/AppSync, MQTT, Grafana. We work in a monorepo designed for agent-assisted engineering workflows and are investing heavily in making engineers dramatically more effective with coding agents.

Starlight | Senior Full-Stack Engineer | REMOTE (US), NYC preferred

I’m the Head of Engineering at Starlight, and we’re hiring a senior full-stack engineer.

We build software that helps financial institutions connect people with government benefits they’re eligible for. More than $100B in benefits go unclaimed every year because the underlying systems are fragmented and difficult to navigate. We’re trying to change that.

Our engineering team is intentionally small, so this is a high-ownership role. You’ll work across the stack, help shape our architecture and engineering culture, and have significant influence over how and what we build.

One area I’m especially excited about is building an “AI-first” engineering organization. I put that in quotes intentionally because I don’t think the industry has figured out exactly what it means yet—and neither have we. I want this person to help me figure it out.

I’ll encourage experimentation and use of AI, and we’ll have lots of conversations about what works and what doesn’t. But I’m not setting token quotas or mandating that people use AI for everything. I care much more about figuring out where it genuinely makes us better.

I’m actively involved in the hiring process and happy to answer questions about the team, role, or company.

Lokker.com | Data Scientist, Classification and Scoring | REMOTE: North America / Europe, UTC-8 to UTC+2 | Full-time

Lokker is a privacy platform. We continuously analyze websites, applications, third-party technologies and data flows to identify privacy, security and consent risks in production. We have built a large proprietary dataset from years of observing real-world digital behavior, and we are hiring a data scientist to help us expand and improve the classification, scoring and risk intelligence built on it.

You will develop and improve models that classify digital activity, identify meaningful privacy and security behaviors, and assess the confidence and significance of findings.

Looking for 2 to 4 years of production experience in data science and machine learning. Strong Python and SQL, pandas or Polars, scikit-learn and modern classification techniques, familiarity with model evaluation and explainability. Practical experience in training and evaluating supervised classification models on real PRODUCTION data, practical LLM experience beyond simple demonstrations, and curiosity about how websites and internet technologies actually behave. You do not need a privacy or adtech background. We will teach the domain.

You will work closely with engineering, product and privacy experts, and what you build goes directly into the product.

IMPORTANT: the timezone range above is a hard requirement, not a preference. We cannot make an exception.

ON APPLICATIONS: we assume you used AI to help write it. So do we. What we cannot do is verify a claim that exists only in the document you sent us, so make sure the skills you claim are visible somewhere public: LinkedIn with real dates and role detail, GitHub, papers, Kaggle, a writeup, a talk. If your best work is under NDA, say so and describe it in your own words.

A human reads every application. No keyword filter, no automated rejection.

Reframe Systems | Boston, MA | ONSITE or HYBRID | Full-time

We're creating housing on a mass scale through a network of robotic microfactories producing highly-customized buildings, from ADUs and cabins through townhomes and mid-rise apartments. We build with industrial efficiency while making buildings for an exact footprint, scale, style, and level of finish to fit any market, regardless of how tight the site or the zoning.

The core software problem is producing buildings designs without the typical months of design development and engineering. You can design natively in our building system or import existing designs, taking in a high-level architectural schematic and using that to generate a detailed manufacturable 3D model of the building (every stud, sheet of OSB, nail, electrical outlet, etc.) used to drive professional engineer review, permitting, and production.
