Freight Brokerage | NJ | Founding Backend Architect (Python/PostgreSQL) | Remote (US, EST hours) | $150K + benefits

We're a freight brokerage in NJ building a self-hosted, AI-first platform to replace our legacy CRM/TMS.

The AI compute infrastructure and data foundation are already in place. We need the architect who turns it into a production operating system.

This is a systems architecture role, not a feature dev role. If your primary strength is writing features or following tickets, this is not the role.

You will be responsible for: designing and deploying a PostgreSQL schema for complex freight operations across 30+ entities. Building Python service layers integrating multiple REST APIs. Wiring locally-hosted LLM inference into business workflows. Structuring systems that involve document ingestion, email processing, and asynchronous event-driven pipelines. Defining backend patterns for reliability and maintainability across a multi-million record environment.

The entire stack is self-hosted on custom-built server hardware. Database, application layer, AI inference — all of it. No cloud dependencies. No API rate limits. No monthly GPU bills. No vendor lock-in. You have direct access to the metal, you deploy on your terms, and the only ceiling on what you can run is the hardware itself.

If you've ever wanted to build a production platform without a cloud provider standing between you and your infrastructure, this is that role.

You are the first technical hire. You report directly to the owner, who is directly involved in this hire and in daily collaboration on the build. Architectural decisions are yours to make. AI coding tools and low-code UI frameworks are part of the workflow — your time goes to data models, service orchestration, and API plumbing, not hand-building screens.

Stack: Python, PostgreSQL, FastAPI, Docker, Neo4j, Linux, vLLM. Preferred: freight/TMS domain, Microsoft Graph API, CRM migration experience.

1-week paid onsite onboarding in NJ, then fully remote. Equity conversation open once mutual fit is established.

To apply, send: (1) your resume, (2) a brief writeup of a system you designed end-to-end — not code, but the architecture decisions you made and why, (3) a short note on why this role interests you.

Results Generation | Cloud & DevOps Engineer | Austin, TX (Hybrid)

We're a digital marketing platform company running a fleet of PHP/Lumen microservices on GCP, and supporting/rebuilding a legacy monolith. Small team, no bureaucracy, real infrastructure problems — multi-cluster Kubernetes, async messaging, database replication, content delivery at scale.

You'll own day-to-day infrastructure operations: multi-cluster Kubernetes, Terraform-driven GCP resources, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and on-call. Hands-on role — you're the person keeping production reliable and making it better.

Stack: GCP (GKE, Cloud SQL, GCS, Secret Manager, Workload Identity), Kubernetes, Terraform + Atlantis, Jenkins, Helm 3, Docker, MySQL (primary + replicas), RabbitMQ, Redis/Dragonfly, Elasticsearch, Grafana/Prometheus, Scalyr, Flux, Ansible.

Looking for: 3-5 years with cloud infrastructure in production. Solid Kubernetes and Terraform experience. Comfortable operating MySQL with replication. On-call experience — you've been paged and written postmortems. Networking fundamentals (VPNs, private endpoints, DNS, TLS).

Nice to have: GCP-specific experience, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, GitOps tooling, multi-cloud or cross-cloud migration experience.

BrandMultiplier | Head of AI & Engineering | REMOTE | Fractional-to-Full-Time | Equity

We're a profitable B2B services company ($3M–$50M ARR clients) actively building a proprietary AI platform — and we need the technical leader to own the execution.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING: A multi-agent AI platform that operationalizes our founder-story methodology into deployable client systems. Architecture spec exists, pieces are already in production. We're not starting from scratch — we're scaling a real build.

THE STACK: LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini), multi-agent orchestration (LangGraph/LangChain), RAG pipelines, vector databases, React/Next.js, Python/Node.js, AWS, n8n/Make for automation.

WHAT MATTERS MOST: You're not just an executor. You come to the leadership table with tools and approaches we haven't seen yet. You translate the CEO's vision into a technical spec, a build plan, and a shipped product — without needing everything pre-defined.

THE TEAM: 4 core people. You'd join the CEO, a Growth Strategist, and an Operations Manager — and lead one AI Engineer (your first direct report).

ENGAGEMENT: Starts fractional with a clear path to full-time and equity for the right fit. We're not VC-funded by design, so equity is unencumbered.

Deya | Software Engineer (AI x Healthcare) | NYC (Hybrid) | Full-Time

Most AI in healthcare is being built in the wrong place.

Everyone is chasing scribes and diagnostics. Almost no one is building the longitudinal data layer, the system that captures what actually happens to patients over time.

That’s the real moat. We’re building it for eye care.

Deya is an AI platform that sits between doctor and patient, capturing symptoms, treatments, outcomes, and ocular images over time to enable continuous care.

We’re already piloting with eye doctors and collecting real patient data, including the largest dataset of eye images captured on smartphones.

What you’ll do:

- Build core product + infrastructure from 0→1

- Work across full stack, AI systems (LLMs + vision), and data pipelines

- Help define the architecture of a longitudinal healthcare data layer

Who you are:

- Full-stack engineer (backend / full stack; AI experience a plus)

- Wants ownership and to build from first principles

- Interested in healthcare, data, and real-world impact

Why this is interesting:

- Greenfield system with real-world data + distribution

- Direct access to clinical workflows and outcomes

- Small, high-ownership team

NYC-based, Hybrid.

Chestnut | Product Engineers (Backend / Full-Stack) | SF + Seattle (Hybrid) | https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/Chestnut

Chestnut builds the systems insurance carriers actually run their distribution business on. We replace spreadsheets, legacy vendor systems, and manual processes with real-time data, deterministic workflows, and AI-assisted tooling.

This is end-to-end product engineering.

You won’t just write APIs. You’ll design schemas, build backend logic, ship UI, deploy to production, and handle the sharp edges that show up with real customers. The problems are messy and state-heavy: payouts that must reconcile with finance, onboarding flows with regulatory constraints, dynamic hierarchies, retries, chargebacks, partial failures.

We care a lot about correctness. These systems move real money and cannot drift.

Stack: Go, TypeScript/React, Postgres, Temporal, Kubernetes, AWS

We use AI heavily in our workflow — for drafting, refactoring, test generation, and exploring solutions. We expect engineers to use it aggressively. We also expect you to understand what it’s doing, spot when it’s wrong, and maintain strong fundamentals. Taste matters.

You’ll likely thrive here if you: - Have 3–6 years building real product systems - Are strong in at least one typed language and comfortable picking up others - Enjoy owning features end-to-end - Think in terms of invariants, edge cases, and failure modes - Like shipping quickly but cleanly - Want to build systems that operate in production, not demos

We’re a small, high-agency team. You’ll have meaningful ownership and direct impact on customers.

Hybrid in SF and Seattle.

Trustle | Customer Success Engineer | Remote (US) | Full-time | Pre-Series A

We enforce Zero Standing Privileges across cloud and SaaS — AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Okta, GitHub, and more. Access is requested just-in-time and disappears when the job is done. We are a small team and AI is core to how we work.

This role sits between customers, the CEO, and engineering. You'll build real multi-cloud demo environments (not toy setups), run technical sales conversations, own customer onboarding, and create technical content grounded in actual depth. When you find a product problem, you'll file it and often see it fixed the same week.

You should have: Comfort scripting and hitting APIs to automate your own work Basic cloud familiarity (AWS, GCP, or Azure) — you know what a role and a service account are

Experience in customer-facing technical conversations A habit of publishing: blog, GitHub, videos, etc

Bonus: IAM/cloud security background, experience with agentic AI/LLM workflows, GCP stack (GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run)

Pre-Series A means your work directly shapes product and GTM. Cloud access management is one of the fastest-growing problems in security — this is a good place to build expertise at the center of it. Interested? Contact us careers (at) trustle.com | https://trustle.com
